Every year for Christmas for the past three years Brian has gotten me the latest Kate Baer book of poetry, and this year was no different. It has become the first book I read every year and I always try to open it as my first present.

Kate’s vulnerability, strength, humor, and honesty all balance to transform the page into pure beauty. I had not read much poetry before I picked up her first book but now it is for sure some of my favorite comfort reads. I recommend all her books and giving her a follow on IG!
