Book Adventure - Kayla Maiuri

We cut out of work early yesterday to go on another book adventure! First we headed to Paris for crêpes. No, not France, but the incredible crêperie in Coolidge Corner. Jax used to frequent it when she lived around the corner in college! Très dangereux!

After some delicious crêpes, we headed across the street to Brookline Booksmith to celebrate the release of Kayla Maiuri’s debut novel, Mother in the Dark. From the small excerpt Kayla read to the group, we can already tell this book is going to be one for the ages. From the very first page, her writing is captivating and stunningly beautiful.

This book signing was an extra special one. Jax hails from the same small town in the greater Boston area and it was remarkable to see someone she knew so many years ago create something extraordinary. We are overjoyed for you, Kayla! Congratulations on your debut novel!
